I have just completed development of Golf Digest’s 2007 Hotlist, which was developed entirely in Adobe Flex 2 and Cairngorm 2.0.
The 2007 Hot List is a good example of organizations beginning to utilize the power of Flex to improve the user experience, and for us Flex developers this is exactly what we have been working to achieve.
Good work. I like it.
Is all info taken from xml?
Thanks for your comments.
As per the clients request the data is persisted via XML configurations. This project was alot of fun to work on and demonstrates the growing number of organizations adopting Flex as a solution.
Hey Eric,
The Hot List 2007 RIA looks great. It’s nice to see your Flex2/AS3 genius put to a high profile public application. I’m looking forward to many more.

Is it possible to lose the blue background behind the pre-loader in a Flex application? I think a project as nice as this needs a better forward facing presence. I dig the application once we get into it.
The project requirements did not include a specific preloader outside of the default Flex application preloader, therfore it will not be changed unless requested. However, it is indeed possible to create custom preloaders, which can be very specific, for a flex application.
